What is QIDENT?

QIDENT links your blockchain wallet to your real-world identity — email, domain, organisation, or person. The proof is anchored on the QAN Blockchain and verifiable by anyone.

Private data (email, personal ID) is stored only as a SHA3-256 hash — the original value cannot be reconstructed. Public claims (domain, organisation) are stored as plaintext on-chain because DNS records and LEI numbers are public by definition.

Setup

Follow the QAN Testnet Setup Guide:

  1. MetaMaskmetamask.io
  2. QAN XLINK — Bridges MetaMask to the quantum-safe layer
  3. Test QANX — From the QAN Faucet (needed for verification fees)

Trust Levels

L0 Wallet Anonymous — just a blockchain address
L1 Email OTP verification — self-attested
L2 Domain DNS TXT record — proves domain ownership
L3 Organisation LEI lookup — verified legal entity
L4 Person eIDAS (BundID / EUDI Wallet / Stripe KYC)

How to verify your Email (L1)

  1. Connect your wallet
  2. Enter your email address in the Email tab
  3. Receive an OTP code
  4. Submit the OTP + pay the verification fee in QANX
  5. Your email claim is registered on-chain (hashed — your email stays private)

How to verify your Domain (L2)

  1. Add a DNS TXT record to your domain: _qident.yourdomain.com = "v=qident1 address=0xYourWallet"
  2. Enter your domain in the Domain tab
  3. QIDENT checks the DNS record and registers the claim on-chain
  4. Your domain is publicly linked to your wallet

Verify an Identity

Use the Verify tab to check any wallet address. See all verified claims, trust level, and on-chain proof — no wallet connection needed.

Privacy by Design
Private claims (email, person) are stored only as SHA3-256 hashes — the original data cannot be reconstructed. Public claims (domain, organisation) are plaintext on-chain — DNS records and LEI numbers are public by definition.
Post-Quantum Security
SHA3-256 hashing (NIST FIPS 202) + CRYSTALS-Dilithium block signing (NIST FIPS 204) on QAN Blockchain. Your identity claims are secured at the consensus level.
